20 x Eye Patch

The 3M Opticlude Orthoptic Regular Eye Patch, measuring 5.7cm x 8cm and supplied in a Pack Of 20, is specifically engineered for effective occlusion therapy in the management of childhood strabismus and amblyopia, commonly known as “lazy eye.” This patch is designed to be worn over the preferred eye, thereby encouraging the weaker eye to develop and function.

Each patch features a soft, non-adherent pad bonded to a skin-friendly, breathable, and conformable backing, coated with a hypoallergenic acrylate adhesive. The composition includes porous paper fibers of rayon and polyethylene film, ensuring a comfortable experience while being free from natural rubber latex. Its oval shape and tan colour provide a low-profile appearance, fitting comfortably behind glasses while permitting free movement of the eyelid.

Beyond amblyopia and strabismus treatment, these patches are also indicated for squint correction and eye occlusion during surgery or for comatose patients. The product is non-sterile and should be stored at normal room temperature in a cool and dry place to maintain its integrity. It holds regulatory approval as a Class 1 Medical Device by the US FDA.
